A stable for horses until 2021. Recently renovated to provide accommodation. We have saluted it's original purpose by using the same rustic covering of the walls and retaining the stable door.

Robin Hood's Bay is 2.5 miles away while the historic town of Whitby is 4.5 miles.

Both have locally run and staffed restaurants & cafes - Not to mention Whitby's famous scampi or traditional fish & chips!

Sandsend beach is a perfect spot. From Whitby it's a 8km walk (there & back) when the tide is out.

There are some wonderful views from the cliffs at Sandsend round to the magnificent Whitby Abbey.

" Having booked to stay late the night before for my friend's birthday road trip, Roger and Chris's stay was perfect in every single way, not to mention so affordable. Upon arrival we were greeted by Henry the gorgeous ginger cat who devoted himself to making sure our stay was the best it could be with many cuddles and bed snuggles. We then met Roger who went above and beyond to give us the most informative tour of the surrounding area and of the stay. There were so many spots to sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, stunning views and abundance of wildlife, which again Roger pointed out every step of the way. We were even greeted with some cake and a handwritten card for my friend whose birthday it was that day, so thoughtful! The airbnb was as described, clean, with added touches to help you switch off, exactly what we had hoped for and needed. R and C's kindness even extended to letting us park in their boat yard in Whitby which saved us parking fees. THE VERY BEST STAY IN WHITBY! "

" Chris and Roger were extremely kind, hospitable and accommodating. The stable was clean, warm and cosy filled with games for entertainment and some lemon treats for us - a thoughtful touch! They took the time to show us around and went out of their way to help us with various things. The views from the property in the day and the sky at night were beautiful. Situated just a 10-min drive from Whitby, it felt isolated and peaceful while still being accessible to the centre. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Whitby. "

" Chris and Roger were the perfect host. We booked 9pm the night before and everything was in place for the following day, even added their own personal touches! . . . a brief guide on what stars, and animals we might see. I can't ask for more attentive hosts than these guys. You wouldn't regret booking this place. Oh and last but not least the location was simply stunning. The photos simply don't do it justice. You can see Whitby and the North Sea in the distance and the stars in the sky were incredible. "
